Apple Farm in Tipperary is Both a Working Orchard and Vacation Spot
Looking for something a bit different, less touristy, but no less beautiful in your travels around Ireland? The Apple Farm of Tipperary, located in County Tipperary in the south of Ireland, grows not only over 60 different apple varieties but strawberries, plums, and cherries as well. It is a family run farm maintained by the Traas family who has owned the land since the 1960’s; it has a lovely farm shop where visitors can purchase the many fruits and juices made on the land. There is also a camping and caravan park available for those who wish to spend time on the farm, enjoy the scenery, and connect with nature. Locations like Munster, Tipperary, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Limerick, and Clare are all nearby making this an ideal central location to spend a few days as you tour the many counties.
