If you happen to be lucky enough to win big on the lotto or even the Euro millions, a holiday to a tropical and luxurious destination would surely be top of your to do list. One of the emerging top resort locations in the world appears to be an island that was once owned by the world famous actor Marlon Brando.

The island has now been converted into a state of the art luxury resort named “The Brando” after the famous actor. The island itself is located in French Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean on a cluster of islands called Tetiaroa. Tetiaroa is made up of 12 smaller islands with the new resort located on Onetahi, the island historically known as a retreat for Tahitian royalty.

The resort is expected to open in July and says that its mission is “to provide one of the most luxurious, authentic and enriching travel experiences available anywhere in the world in an environmentally sensitive, sustainable and culturally rich manner.”

That privilege of course does not come cheap. The resorts opening rate from July to September for a one-bedroom villa will set visitors back $2,500 per night. After then the cost jumps up to $4,142 per person. This ends up resulting in a three-night minimum stay in their three-bedroom villa costing an astonishing $37,279 for one person.  With those prices a lotto win seems the only viable way to get to “The Brando.”
