A Christmas Message
from Commissioner Nóirín O’Sullivan to the Garda Síochána Retired Members’ Association
I am delighted to have been provided with the opportunity to extend my season’s greetings and best wishes to all our retired members as we come towards the end of 2014. I hope, and am sure that you will all have an enjoyable and family filled Christmas, and a prosperous New Year.
For those who are suffering from ill health, either at home or in hospital, please know that the thoughts and wishes of your extended Garda family are with you for a speedy recovery.
It is imperative that under the Garda family umbrella, those of us who are still serving utilise the broad knowledge base and many years of experience that you have. You are the people who have made An Garda Síochána into the fine police service it is today, and I am honoured that throughout the last few months I have been in a position to meet and speak with some of you at functions around the country.
As our organisation continues to evolve and retain its position as a police service at the heart of communities, I want to thank you for your ongoing contribution to An Garda Síochána.
I wish you, your families and your loved ones all the best for 2015, and I trust that you will have a Christmas and New Year period filled with love and laughter.
Guím Nollaig shíochánta agus Athbhliain shona daoibh go léir.
