Calling all DIY Enthuasiasts
Selfbuild Live comes to the Citywest Hotel tomorrow, 14th September, and runs through till Sunday of this weekend. The three-day conference is a showcase for those looking to build, extend, improve or decorate their homes.
Tickets for the conference are free and doors open at 10am. Those attending can visit one-to-one clinics, theatre talks and hundreds of local exhibitors until 6pm each day. All visitors’ needs and intersts differ. Some come in search of architects, others, building materials; and those further along in the development process might look at kitchen appliances and room furnishings. The event showcases what’s current and what’s trending in building and home design, offering inspiration for those undergoing self-builds.
Returning construction and design enthusiasts form new connections each time they attend the events – each time furthering on the building process. Glazing windows and doors, to heat recovery systems, each time attending Selfbuild Live is an opportunity to take different concepts and different ideas on board. Ones that perhaps attendees might never have considered before.
This year ‘The Selfbuild Bootcamp’ is launching at the event on Friday. Popular interest and demand inspired the day-long workshop geared towards self-builders dreaming of building their own home. The workshop will cover all the essentials to extending or creating your dream home, from: finding a plot and planning permission to financing and managing the project.
With over 160 exhibitors, and live panel discussions there’s something for any zealous DIY fans; no matter how big, small, or existent your project may be.
