Ashbourne is a picturesque and challenging Championship Parkland Course. Designed by Declan Branigan Design and Ryder Cup Vice-Captain Des Smyth, Ashbourne is situated only 10 minutes from the M50.Ashbourne Golf Club was established in 1991 when a group of individuals – mainly resident in Ashbourne – decided to resurrect the project of developing a local golf club.

Work began immediately and Ashbourne Golf Club was opened for play in June 1994. The official opening (performed by Des Smyth) took place shortly afterwards. The stated priority of the founding committee and their successors has been the quality of the course. Consequently in a relatively short time the golf course is the envy of many.
