Competition: Win Tickets to Ballymaloe Malt & Music Weekend
The first-ever Ballymaloe Malt & Music Weekend will stakes its claim as Ireland’s weatherproof and waterproof festival on June 30 – July 2.
Punters can leave their wellies and raincoats at home, even if it buckets rain, everyone will be warm and dry under the cover of the Big Shed on the Ballymaloe Farm, Shanagarry, East Cork.
The rustic Big Shed will offer the perfect surroundings to take in the sounds of headliners Jerry Fish (Friday) and Little Green Cars (Saturday).
Other acts taking to the stage over the weekend include Hurricane Highway, Shookrah, The Niall McCabe Band, One Horse Pony and Foxy P. Cox. Sunday will see a Soul Funktion set by DJ Dr. Quigley followed by the Hank Wedel Band.
Garda Post has teamed up with Ballymaloe Malt & Music Weekend, to offer readers the chance of winning a pair of tickets for Friday, June 30 to see Jerry Fish perform.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply send an email, along with your name and telephone number, to competition@universalmedia.ie – winners will be chosen at random and the closing date for the competition is Monday, June 26th, 2017.
It’s a family-friendly weekend. Children under 12 are admitted free with an adult and are welcome until 9pm. There is a dedicated children’s area in The Big Shed where young ones can engage in The Brickx Club, a LEGO® building and social activity club on Saturday and Sunday.
The Malt & Music Weekend has some distinctive Ballymaloe twists. Festival-goers can ‘sow what you wear’ as admission wristbands have wild flower seeds embedded in the biodegradable paper, ready for planting at the Weekend’s end.
