Fundraising Event for GSRMA Member’s daughter in law
GSRMA Member Charles Boyle’s daughter in law, Niamh Boyle, suffered a septic shock after giving birth which results in the loss of blood flow in her extremities.
Niamh, a mother of four, and friends and family launched an appeal to raise €65,000 for an iLimb Digits prosthetic hand after the fingers of her left hand had to be amputated when she suffered septic shock following the birth of her fourth child.
While Niamh has learned to do her everyday chores using one hand, she says she would love to get an iLimb Digits prosthetic hand “so that I can better look after my four children and get back to doing the things I enjoy in life”.
In conjunction with the gofundme appeal, family and friends are putting together a charity golf event that will take place in Longford Golf Course on the afternoon of Friday the 21st of July.
It is €100 to sponsor a T box, €200 for a four man team, that includes food afterwards. Times are between 12 midday and 3pm.
So far they have raised over €41000, to help with the fund go here, and you read more about Niamh’s story here.
