Garda Memorial Day – Sat 21st May 2016
The annual Garda Memorial Day Ceremony in Dubhlinn Gardens, Dublin Castle, takes place on Saturday, 21st May, 2016 at 12.00 noon. This Memorial Service is to remember and pay tribute to the 88 members of An Garda Síochána who were killed in the line of duty in the service of the State.
The Garda Commissioner and the President of the Garda Síochána Retired Members’ Association, extend a Céad Míle Fáilte to retired members of the force, Garda widows and family members, to attend the 2016 memorial day. The ceremony will take approx one hour and after which light refreshments will be served. Below are some images from last years service.
Last year’s ceremony was once again very well received as colleagues and families of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty gathered to remember them on a beautiful day in Dublin Castle.
