Saturday the 17th of May will see  the Annual Garda Remembrance day take place in Dubhlinn Gardens, Dublin Castle. As always hundreds of members and former members of the Gardai along with their families will be in attendance to honour and remember those who lost their lives while carrying out their duties. Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan, the Minister for Justice, Alan Shatter and Fr. Joe Kennedy, Garda Chaplain will also be in attendance at the Remembrance Ceremony. All Garda Retired members are invited to attend along with their families and the ceremony will begin at mid-day.
