New series: “Simple Home Comfort Food”

In the coming months we will be bringing you weekly installments of our new culinary series “Simple Home Comfort Food”.
This online resource will be run by John Crowe. John is originally for Templemore Co. Tipperary and his career has seen him travel the world before finally settling in Derry. He supports a wide range of local community initiative with cookery demonstrations, classes and supporting the elderly with meal clubs.
He has developed a YouTube channel as an outlet to share his skills and knowledge with a wider audience. His relaxed and informative approach is key to the success of this channel which he also uses for his teaching. He also draws on his country roots to recreate warm, inviting and memory-filled dishes that you too can share with your loved one. Recently he has been working on launching two food products, Dill and Lemon Cured Salmon and a Stout City Loaf under the name Carrick Foods.
John currently works as a Chef Lecturer and is based in Northern Ireland. He has a wealth of knowledge with over 30 years industrial experience in Ireland, the UK & further afield working in 5* properties and fine dining. Lastly he has worked alongside some of the worlds best known chefs, these include individuals such as Gordon Ramsay and Raymond Blanc .
