Age Action Walking Fundraiser to Sardinia and Corsica 2015

Age Action is a charity which promotes positive ageing and better policies and services for older people. The charity’s goals include improving communication and co-operation between organisations concerned with ageing and older people, developing innovative projects and services for older people and their carers, and enhancing the exchange of information expressing the views and needs of older people, but their main objective is to make Ireland the best place in the world to grow old in.

The organisation’s members are primarily older people, along with their adult children, grandchildren, and carers. This October, Age Action are hosting a Fundraising Walking Challenge to the islands of Sardinia (Italy), and Corsica (France). To participate in this interesting and rewarding challenge (while supporting Age Action’s promotion of positive ageing), applicants need to raise a total of €2,900 – after which, Age Action will be responsible for air and coach travel, accommodation, insurance, breakfast and dinner each day, and a full walking programme with experienced guide.

The challenge takes place between October 4th and 11th, 2015, and the package includes return flights Dublin to Alghero, priority boarding at airports, ferry between Sardinia and Corsica, and much more. If you would like to take part in the challenge, contact: Daragh Matthews – Business Development, Age Action Ireland Ltd, 30/31 Lr. Camden Street, Dublin 2.
