Kevin Street Garda Station held an Open Day at Kevin Street Garda Station on Sunday the 14th of October 2018 from 2pm to 5pm. The event was open to all the public and attracted large numbers due to the Garda Station recently opening as the new South Central Divisional Headquarters.

The front yard of the ‘old’ Kevin street Garda Station was used to display various Garda activities and capabilities such as the Garda Band, Garda Mounted Unit, Garda Dog Unit, Garda Water Unit, Armed Support Unit, Traffic Motorcyclist, Community Garda Cyclists, Garda Patrol Car etc.

In addition, tours of the new Garda Station were also provided. Community Policing Unit, Crime Prevention Officer, Scenes of Crime, Juvenile Liaison Office, and Divisional Drug Unit also had displays within the environs of the new Garda Station.
