The 2018 Art In The Open festival in Wexford, 29th July – 6th August, is expected to welcome nearly 200 painters from around the world to paint Irish landscapes at eight nearby locations.

Registered painters will have the opportunity to attend up to six Paint-Outs, sit in on workshops and go to social events with fellow artists at the 11th annual event.

This year’s landscape locations include Wexford town, Duncannon, Artramon House, Clonegal, Rosslare Harbor and The Safe, and Bunclody and Newtownbarry House. A bus will take artists and their gear to each location to paint landscapes such as harbors, gardens, waterfalls, villages, castles and beaches.

Workshops will be led by ten artists on site, with two additional themed workshops on urban sketching and vlogging for artists in Wexford town.The ten-day event will end on the August bank-holiday Monday with an exhibition of the painters’ work.
