Dublin Choral Festival Will Celebrate ‘Sounds of Spirituality’

The third annual Dublin Choir Festival, or Féile Córúil Dublin, will take place from the 13 – 17 of June, with a final performance for the public in Christ Church Cathedral on Bloomsday, Saturday, 16 June at 8pm.

The festival will welcome performers from around Ireland, the United States, and Europe to perform under the direction of Dr. William Skoog, Choral Director and Music Department Chair at Rhodes College. This year’s festival theme is ‘Sounds of Spirituality’ and will honor the heritage of Celtic musical inspiration.

An ensemble of mixed-voice choirs and individual singers will come together to perform both traditional and contemporary music, including songs such as ‘Prayer of St. Patrick’ and American composer Moses Hogan’s ‘Hear My Prayer’.

After the conclusion of the festival in Dublin, registered musical groups will have the opportunity to go on tours to various locations within Ireland and beyond, such as Limerick, Galway, and London. Tours will be produced by Music Celebrations International.
