The Annual Delegate conference for the Garda Retired Members Association begins later today in the Sheraton Hotel Athlone. Conference was opened by President Matt Givens.

Assistant Commissioner Fintan Fanning represented Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.

Tomorrow afternoon see the award of the Liddy Medal, the GSRMA annual award to retired Gardaí who were injured in the line of duty while in the Force.
